I began putting up a new website design for www.softwx.com. The new design should result in a clearer layout and faster loading of pages. By using CSS, and avoiding the use of tables for layout, the new site has a better separation of content and presentation. Another goal is improved accessibility by trying as much as possible to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. The new site is also designed to "degrade gracefully". For example, if your browser has javascript enabled, the web site will take advantage of that for some increased features. But if your browser doesn't support javascript, all content will still be available, and will display reasonably. I'll be fleshing out the content and finishing up retrofitting the legacy content in the coming weeks.
